Environmental and Climate Control
Environmental Control
Environmental control covers a range of considerations.
The temperature in a growing environment is important. Most plants grow in ranges between 20-28°C. HPS/MH produce a large amount of heat, when running these lights you can use fans to extract heat from the room. Oscilating fans can be used to move air around and strenghten plants. At night when temperatures fall use heating to raise the temperature.
Smells can be problematic, you can use carbon filters to clean the air, or ozone generators to neutralise odours or other smells to mask odours.
Other environmental concerns are PH levels; how acidic or alkaline water is; and EC/CF; the amount of nutrients dissolved in a solution. We stock numerous items to correct and alter pH and EC/CF levels.
